Score Folio Sheet music, open like a book

Sheet music on a phone is a page too small to read. Score Folio cuts the white round the music away, so the notes come up as large as the screen allows, and on a wide screen it lies open as a music book: two pages side by side, on an open iPhone Duo either side of the fold, on an iPad or a phone on its side.

Use cases

Two pages on the iPhone Duo

Opened, the Duo lies on the stand as a music book: one page either side of the fold. On an iPad or a phone on its side the same.

Readable on a phone

The white round the music is cut away page by page, so the notes come up as large as the screen allows. Half turns bring the top of the next page in early.

Hands on the instrument

A Bluetooth page-turner pedal turns as it comes out of the box: arrow keys, Page Up and Down, space or return.

Through the evening

A setlist turns from the last page of one piece to the first of the next. Marks jump to the coda in one tap; notes written with a finger stay on their bar.

Features

  • Two pages up, turned both at once as a book, or one page at a time so a repeat stays in sight
  • Half turns on one page: the top of the next page comes first, so you read on while you turn
  • Turn with a tap on the right or a swipe, back on the left
  • Page-turner pedals work as they come: arrow keys, Page Up and Page Down, space and return
  • Night: white music on black for a dark stage
  • The screen stays on while a piece is open

One-time purchase “Full Stand”

€4.99

  • PDFs from Files, Mail or a browser ("Open in Score Folio")
  • Photos of printed pages, or scan them with the camera: straightened and evenly lit
  • The margins cut away by themselves, page by page; keep them where you prefer
  • Write on the pages with your finger or a pencil: fingerings, breaths, a circled bar. The notes are kept beside the PDF, which stays as it came
  • Marks to jump to in one tap: the chorus, the coda, the D.S.
  • It remembers the page you were on

One-time purchase “Full Stand”

€4.99

  • The pieces of an evening in the order you play them
  • The stand turns from the last page of one piece to the first of the next, and names it as it arrives

Privacy

The app collects no data. Everything you open or create stays on your device until you share it yourself.

Files: A PDF you add is copied into the app and stays on the device; the original is left where it was. Notes you write are kept beside the copy.

Camera: Used only inside the document scanner, when you tap Scan. The pages become a PDF in the app; nothing is uploaded.

Photos: The pictures you pick become pages of a PDF in the app. Your library is not changed.

Frequently asked questions

Which pedals work?

Any page-turner pedal that types keys over Bluetooth, as most do out of the box: the right or down arrow, Page Down, space or return turn on; the left or up arrow and Page Up turn back. A pedal in a mode that sends media keys or MIDI does not reach the app; switch it to its keyboard mode.

The margins of my score are cut off too much.

Open the score, tap the middle of the page, then “⋯” and switch off “Cut the margins”. The whole page is shown again.

A PDF does not open.

A PDF locked with a password cannot be drawn. Open it once in Files or Books, save it without the password, and add it again.

I bought the upgrade, but it is locked again.

Tap “Restore purchase” on the purchase card in the app. A one-time purchase is tied to your Apple account and does not have to be paid for again.
